Made for relationship
I don’t know about you, but life can feel empty to me at times. I’m always asking myself “is there more to this.” I honestly find myself lacking purpose, direction and joy often. In life I find myself centered, refocused, and in a right mindset when I am consistent about being in relationship with God.
One of the ways we do this is worshiping God. We worship God through how we live our lives, but one specific way is through song. In the Bible, the book of psalms is a 150 chapter songbook unto God! These songs express everything from the deepest of angers to the greatest of joys. There’s something so vital about going to God with anything. Really, anything! He cares, and the best part is, he wants us to do it! He doesn’t care if we hit the right notes, if we sing the wrong words, if we scream, if we whisper, he just wants us to come before him honestly and be in relationship with him - it’s what we were made for! We can use the vehicle of song to give God glory through our words, but also as a tool to bring our heart before him in an honest way, and he meets us right there. We praise him for who he is, and what he has done!
